Based on the 26 volume book series by Terry Brooks and Executive Produced by Jon Favreau, The Shannara Chronicles is the epic series set in a world thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization.
A year after the events of season one, The Four Lands is in chaos. The re-emergence of magic has the populace terrified, and an organization called The Crimson is hunting down magic users, using fear and intimidation to sow discord among the races.
Wil, scarred by the loss of Amberle and his separation from Eretria, has turned his back on his magical destiny to become a healer. But when a mysterious woman named Mareth saves Wil from a Crimson attack, he is forced to rejoin the fight. After reuniting with Eretria, Wil and Mareth seek out Allanon, only to learn that the Druid’s former protégé, Bandon, is on a mission to resurrect a creature of darkest evil: The Warlock Lord.
Together, our heroes must band together to take down The Crimson and prevent Bandon from unleashing an even greater threat upon the Four Lands, before it’s too late.

The value chain is a major focus in today's business world, and many organisations and managers allocate considerable resources to understanding and analysing their value chain. The main reason for doing this is either to eliminate activities that do not add value, or to improve on activities that do not add sufficient value.
In order to ensure optimum customer satisfaction, businesses must integrate the activities of various departments and functions. This demands a sound understanding of the chain of activities and their interrelationship with other business activities. The authors adopt the value chain as a framework in order to help business students to visualise how the value chain works. New ground is broken in that management is not dealt with only from a functional perspective. While the goal is to introduce undergraduate students to the concept of the value chain, it is not, however, to offer a comprehensive directory on the related literature.
This special and abridged version of Business Management has been requested by academics in order to accommodate the needs of accounting students. As accounting students at a number of higher institutions only do a seven-week module in business management, we have selected the chapters which cover the basics of business management as well as the primary functions of the value chain.

'Then I felt his warm hand grow cold, it was as if he had been
reminded of death. He wasn’t looking at me any more, but
obliquely, across the restaurant. I turned round.' Sarah has been
receiving threatening anonymous letters seemingly from a former
lover. Just one day after revealing this information to her co-
worker Nancy, Sarah is shot and found in her bedroom by one of her
past flames, Donald. Desperate to clear any evidence of Donald’s
presence at the scene for her own infatuations, Nancy finds herself
as the key suspect when she is discovered in the apartment. As the
real killer uses the situation to their advantage, Bennett crafts a
tense and nuanced story through flashbacks to Sarah’s life and
loves in this Gold- Dagger-award-winning story of deceit and
murder.

Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson and Haley Bennett star in this
psychological thriller, adapted from Paula Hawkins' novel. The film
follows Rachel Watson (Blunt) who, after getting divorced from her
husband Tom (Justin Theroux), takes the train to work every day,
passing by her old home and fantasizing about a couple, Megan and
Scott Hippwell (Bennett and Luke Evans), who live down the same
street, and their perfect life together. After seeing Megan with
another man, Rachel is so distraught she turns to alcohol and heads
out for a night in the city. The next morning, with no memory of
what she did the previous night, Rachel awakens to discover that
Megan's disappearance is headline news. She quickly becomes
obsessed with the case and tries to find out more about Megan's
life but discovers her own interest in the couple's lives also
makes her a suspect in the eyes of the police.
The momentous events of 1066, the story of invasion, battle and
conquest, are well known. But what of the women? Harold II of
England had been with Edith Swanneck for twenty years but in 1066,
in order to strengthen his hold on the throne, he married Ealdgyth,
sister of two earls. William of Normandy's Duchess, Matilda of
Flanders, had supposedly only agreed to marry the Duke after he'd
pulled her pigtails and thrown her in the mud. Harald Hardrada had
two wives - apparently at the same time. So, who were these women?
What was their real story? And what happened to them after 1066?
These are not peripheral figures. Emma of Normandy was a Norman
married to both a Saxon and a Dane - and the mother of a king from
each. Wife of both King Cnut and Aethelred II, the fact that,
according to the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, she had control of the
treasury at the end of the reigns of both Cnut and Harthacnut
suggests the extent of Emma's influence over these two kings -and
the country itself. Then there is Saint Margaret, a descendant of
Alfred the Great, and the less well known but still influential
Gundrada de Warenne, the wife of one of William the Conqueror's
most loyal knights, and one of the few men who it is known beyond
doubt was with the Duke at the Battle of Hastings. These are lives
full of drama, pathos and sometimes mystery: Edith and Gytha
searching the battlefield of Hastings for the body of Harold, his
lover and mother united in their grief for the fallen king. Who was
AElfgyva, the lady of the Bayeux Tapestry, portrayed with a naked
man at her feet? Silk and the Sword traces the fortunes of the
women who had a significant role to play during the Norman Conquest
- wives, lovers, sisters, mothers, leaders.
Thomas Mann and RJ Cyler star in this coming-of-age drama directed
by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. Greg and Earl (Mann and Cyler) are high
school students who spend their time making their own versions of
classic movies. Greg makes it his high school purpose to not belong
to any one group, but to have a small role to play in each and
every clique. When Greg's mother (Connie Britton) tells him that a
girl from his class, Rachel (Olivia Cook), has been diagnosed with
leukemia, she convinces her son to pay her a friendly visit. As
Greg tries to get to know Rachel and provide her with a comforting
shoulder to cry on, the two end up forming a unique bond of
friendship and provide each other with much-needed love and
affection.
A straight-to-video parallel storyline to the Disney smash hit
'Beauty and the Beast'. Returning to the time when Belle was
imprisoned in the Beast's castle, the film tells of the young
woman's attempts to bring some Christmas cheer to her surroundings,
even though the Beast doesn't like the festive season. To this end,
Belle invites all the enchanted objects from the castle to help,
encouraging them to sing and dance so that the spirit of Yuletide
might thaw the Beast's heart.
The second of three epic instalments in director Peter Jackson's
blockbuster prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Set in
Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the
story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin
Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian
McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company
of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help
reclaim the lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches
of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In this film,
while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the Dwarves
enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain.
When they reach Lake-town Bilbo will have to perform the role he
was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that
will lead him to the lair of the dragon...
